RHEM Labs accepts instructions for police and prosecution pre-charge review involving digital evidence. The scope is agreed around the material available and the forensic opinion required.
The purpose is independent scientific assessment. Findings, assumptions and limitations need to be communicated clearly so the instructing party can understand what the evidence supports.
Independence across instructions
The laboratory accepts suitable instructions from defence solicitors, police and prosecution. The scientific method and obligation to explain limitations do not change with the instructing party. For other early-stage matters, see preliminary review.
